Holiday Season

We are now in December,  a month of holiday season, or so they say. I love how beautiful the magazines come out this month. Holiday stuff photos are almost everywhere. Well, at least on the mags that I monthly purchase.

They delivered pretty pictures of Christmas ornaments, gift suggestions, and my favorite: houses decorated for Christmas.

Then come my questions, did people genuinely prepare those houses with X-mast decoration and all to be photographed in the magazines? Or they just did the photoshop thing to make the houses looked really festive? I tried to Google it, but didn’t find the answer yet. Maybe I searched with the wrong keywords, I don’t know.

Whatever the answer is, it supposedly doesn’t matter anyway. For me as a reader, as long as the pages look real, I am happy to leaf through them.

Still, I can’t help it but some stupid things bug me. If the house is actually decorated with the real stuff, then (I think) it has to be done 2 to 3 months before the publication published. So after being pictured,

  • does the house owner leave the X-mass stuff as they are until Christmas day comes?
  • or they put the decorative stuff back in the boxes and take them out again a week or two prior to Christmas day?

Either way, If I were one of those home owners, it would just SUCK. Big time.
